“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
The inevitable question that followed us since we were young. Though most of us never had a specific answer to this, we know that we have an ambition that we want to fulfil when we are older.
But with the oldest Gen Z reaching the age of 25 in 2022, the Internet generation is starting to take over the workforce to pave their own future. However, in the struggle of finding the right career path, employers still place an amount of emphasis on finding candidates with the right skills and competencies that will be valuable for their organisation. Depending on the career sector and profession you choose to work in, there could be very specific skills, abilities and knowledge needed to execute the job. With expectations set high and competition as fierce as ever, the newer generation will need to equip themselves with as many skill-sets as possible for them to achieve their goals.
To be knowledgeable about one’s specific job and industry is crucial, but to have additional skills can be a bonus as an employee! Taking on industrial training programmes, internships, volunteering, or being open to freelance work / part-time jobs can get you job-relevant experience and help you gauge if this is a career you see yourself being a part of. This can also help to create new relationships with people in the industry, potentially leading to a job reference or recommendations, even a full-time job. These key employability skills are the core skills that will make you an asset at work, in any job that you venture. You'll need to draw on your work experience to give evidence of these skills as not only it will benefit you in your career growth but also how you manage the challenges that come with it.
MDUP “Malaysians Development Uplift Programme” is a programme intending to empower young Malaysians with the necessary skills of learning, life and work; enhancing sustainable growth with skilled workforce through basic industrial training, while ensuring that young Malaysians fully understand and exceed the expectations of employers. Feel free to get in touch with us if you wish to know more about this programme by email us at marketing@manforce.net.

The COVID19 pandemic has been challenging, and it has put significant pressure to our government, overall nations and especially our frontliner workers. Despite of the hardship and health risks, they are devoted to caring for patients who have confirmed or possible coronavirus infection, while continuing to care for patients who have other medical conditions.
After gone through all the challenging time in Dec last year where all the workers from George Kent have to undergo Covid19 test due to a few positive cases being detected amongst the workers, consequently this activity was carried out for weeks in order to keep the workers safe as well as to contain the spread. And we’re so grateful to have the healthcare & enforcement workers from Sepang who are working tirelessly to take care of the vulnerable community.
Although the incident happened last year, but we never forget to repay our healthcare and enforcement officer from PKD & IPD Sepang with daily meals and hygiene kits for 6 days from 5th to 10th. At least we’ll make sure they will not miss their lunch whilst coping with the excessive work load during this challenging period.
We know that we’ll not able to repay you all that you’ve done and sacrifices for us but just to let you know your dedication, commitment and courage deserve our deepest gratitude and admiration. Together we will win this battle against Covid19.
This is part of the CSR activities of George Kent and supported by Manforce Group.

Finding the appropriate solutions for vulnerable youths and guiding graduates to overcome unemployment in Malaysia through MDUP.
News coverage about MDUP’s Graduation Ceremony:
While fresh graduates have it hard to find work these days, it is extra onerous for those who are more vulnerable or neglected - particularly individuals who were unable to complete their high school education due to financial struggles or the inability to complete their tertiary education. According to a recent survey done by Manforce Group Berhad, 85.5% out of 404 participants aged between 18-34 lost interest in studies and some thought that they could contribute substantially to the household instead of adding more burden to the family.
Nevertheless, those youth who are from rural have it more difficult to land a job than a fresh graduate. Rural youth face an additional set of barriers which can be attributed to their isolated location and the limited range of opportunities that are available to them.
Well, given this difficult time for all, especially with now becoming more of a challenge due to the number of daily infection cases and the implementation of total lockdown imposed nationwide, we need a “win-win” solution that can help both employers and youth (especially the forgotten groups: the drop-outs) in securing job opportunities. For those out there still struggling to look for that job to afford that income, these are some of the key things we need to always remember to overcome this troubling time in finding a job:
