In line with our recent launch of Malaysians Development Uplift Program (MDUP), we hosted a webinar for our invited clients and partners to talk about issues and challenges in hiring locals!
This webinar aims to share information about the current workforce in Malaysia. Since the halt of foreign worker intake, many employers are left with no choice but to look for locals to fill those empty vacancies that are usually filled by foreign workers.
However, when it comes to hiring locals as general workers, employers are often filled with doubts. In the webinar, we discuss our solution to resolve the issues dealing with labour shortage and hiring locals as general workers.
Furthermore, we also went a little technical and share about how we adopt digital technologies to improve our employees’ productivity in managing our client's current workforce. That includes local and foreign labour who may be located at the same or different location.
Overall, we are very thankful for our team, our speakers Mr. Melvin & Steven and the full attendance from our participants for making this webinar a success!
If you're interested to join our future webinar/events or would like to invite us to talk, feel free to reach out to us!

Ever since Malaysian Human Resources Minister announced the halt of foreign workers intake in Malaysia until year-end, many companies are facing manpower challenges as they struggle to find suitable local candidate to fill up the job roles that are usually filled by foreign workers. As the leading solutions provider of foreign worker in Malaysia, the manpower issue that facing by our clients inspired us to introduce the Malaysians Development Uplift Programme (MDUP).
This programme started in February with a planned investment of RM10 million, where we’re not only use to tackle companies’ manpower challenges, we also started to gather fund internally to sponsor selected participants in a six-month practical training course, complete with allowances, accommodations and a certificate under certification of School of Professional and Continuing Education (UTMSPACE) and ProCel Faculty Economy and Business UNIMAS. The participants may be school leavers age from 18 - 30, under the B40 groups, unable to find jobs or lack of income to further their studies. Our programme aimed empower young Malaysians with the necessary skills of learning, life and work; enhancing sustainable growth with skilled workforce through basic industrial training, while ensuring that young Malaysians fully understand and exceed the expectations of employers.
After 6 months, these young Malaysians will be given a job or they can choose to continue their studies. In turn our clients can also benefit with a sustainable manpower throughout MDUP.
We believe our latest venture into this programme, together with our years of experience in workers management solutions, we are able to ride through this storm. The programme now has over 700 students and we are on the road to create 5,000 job opportunities for Malaysians by the end of 2022.

A tragic story of a foreign worker, Mohammad Alamin who used to work in Muar, Johor. 3 months ago, we received a call that a Bangladeshi foreign worker was sent to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment. It struck us to find that he is one of the unfortunate victims of a hit-and-run road accident while he was on his way back to hostel after work. He was then confirmed by doctor that the injury of the spinal cord and nerves have caused him paralyzed from chest down.
After weeks of treatment in Muar, our team decided to transfer him to HQ hostel in KL to ease the team to give attention and monitor him round the clock. While he was here, he was also admitted to hospital several times due to severe infections. After months of searching for flights and finally, we brought him to the airport on 9th September and received the news the next morning that he is safely home with his family.
His nightmare is not over yet. This man is a husband and a father of 4 beautiful young children. The doctor said that, throughout his life he will experience blood clots in his legs, loss of urine & bowel control, skin injuries, pressures sores and many more. He’ll never be able to work again to support his family, and it is unclear how his future will turn out.
The reason why we are sharing this story is in hope that it can bring awareness towards the public’s eye on incident like this, your irresponsible act can cost someone else’s life. As a manpower and workforce management solutions provider for over a decade, we have seen too many of such incidents happened to foreign worker. Road accidents, whether serious or not, to whom, when or where, it shouldn’t be taken lightly. When you caused an accident, running away may seem the safe thing to do, but it’s actually the worst possible thing you could do. You may be the only hope the person has of surviving.
For workers, never ever neglect your own safety & health. Be sure to wear protective helmet when riding, turn on your headlights at night and make sure you can be seen clearly by people or vehicles. By end of the day, nothing is more important than you could go back to your home country safe and healthy.
May you and your loved ones #StaySafe & #StayHealthy always.
Lastly, if you drive, be a responsible driver. Don’t be that person who took away someone’s cup that is already empty.

We partner with certified professional academy to train young locals under B40 employability skills, at the same time providing value to companies in Malaysia and be in line with the government initiative to increase local employment rate.
The photos present a group of vibrant young adults who just completed their theoretical in-class training with our academy partners. We are so proud of these batch of young locals who work hard to get this far although just the beginning of their journey, and our team then provide them with a final briefing to keep them well informed before we place them at our client’s workplace to complete their practical industrial training.
They are now ready to get on board with one of our glove manufacturer clients to maximize their production while on their way to complete their industrial training with our client in 6 months! Upon completion, they will be awarded with a Professional Certificate officially issued by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, School of Professional and Continuing Education (UTMSPACE).
We foresee a bright future ahead of each and every one of them. As a one-stop workforce solutions provider, it’s our responsibility to guide them in every step of their way. As Covid-19 test have made compulsory to all foreign workers in Malaysia, Manforce group have to make sure all our workers have gone through the Covid-19 screening. At the same time, we also help our clients to bring their workers to do the Covid-19 test as part of our services in managing worker related matters.
The health and safety of them is our foremost priority and early testing helps for quick identification of cases, quick treatment for those infected and immediate isolation to prevent spread. Although none of the workers in the photos have not shown any symptoms of Covid-19, early testing is still compulsory and necessary. Covid-19 screening is also very important when think of the bigger public health picture on mitigation efforts, it will help investigators characterize the prevalence, spread and contagiousness of the disease.
Good News! The Covid-19 testing results for these group of foreign workers came 2 days after and they are all tested negative! So far, all of our foreign workers are tested negative and we hope it will always remain this way.
Although the government has eased the MCO, each and every one of us still plays an important role in preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 in our community and workplace. We urge all our workers to continue taking extra precautions, practice good hygiene and social distancing. Our team also took the initiative to create a Coronavirus Prevention Guide video for the foreign workers in Malaysia, the video also came in 5 Languages, English, Indonesian, Nepali, Burmese and Bangla so that foreign workers can better understand the guide.

The Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing in Malaysia and we do not want to risk our workers being exposed to the virus. Hence, for the sake of a safer and healthier environment for our foreign workers, our SaniClean team visited their hostel to perform a thoroughly sanitization and disinfection at every corner of their rooms. The aim is to reduce the risk of transmission within the hostel, as well as providing our foreign workers with the necessary protection in their hostel. The sanitization and disinfection processes were carried out in accordance with the Health Ministry’s infection control guideline to ensure effectiveness and safety by our qualified team.
In order to properly mitigate the risk of the coronavirus, we have also enhanced the safety measures in our hostel, in addition with encouraging all workers to perform routine cleaning in their respective hostel. For example, a more frequent cleaning and disinfection, and wiping, especially in areas of high touch surfaces like doorknobs, shared areas, washbasins, taps, handles, light switches, table, doors, room keys/cards/code entry devices, remote controls, toilet flushes, kitchen appliances, items in shared bedrooms, bunk beds, etc. Our workers were also urged to comply with certain practices, such as social distancing, hygiene, cleanliness, and hostel rules.
Our group understand that the health and safety of foreign workers are on the line. We believe a safe and healthy working environment will definitely help boost workers’ mood and performance. We don’t take any chances when it comes to these and we highly encourage our clients and companies to engage competent personnel to perform their sanitization and disinfection in not only their worker hostel, but workplaces and offices. In that way, companies can provide their staff a safer & germs-free working environment.

As the government has allow more businesses to resume operations from May 4, many of our workers has resume work as the “new normal” at their workplace. We figure it is important to get our workers back on track while being well informed about the “new normal” and all the new SOPs and guidelines they had to follow to ensure the health and safety of themselves and the community is protected!
Henceforth, Manforce Group held this Post MCO Training session to prepare our workers in adopting and implementing precautionary measures, the “new normal” at their workplace. We strictly comply to the rules set by the government to held this training session and ensure that our workers can attend the session comfortably while maintaining a safe distance between each other.
The training session covers important topics related to their daily job task, such as new SOPs and safety guidelines at work. The workers are also urged to strictly observe and comply to certain practices, such as social distancing, hygiene, body temperature check, cleanliness, hostel, and workplace rules. With all these in hand, our workers are definitely ready to get back to work and serve the community safely!
After all, we must keep in mind that although the government has eased the MCO, each and every one of us still plays an important role in preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 in our community and the workplace.

Manforce Group’s renowned, self-developed technology, Manforce Tracking System (MTS) is now available for our clients! Manforce Tracking System is a real time human resource management system we use internally to effectively manage workers for our clients. Our MTS helps us in the management of foreign workers profile and movement, which also includes managing work demand, worker schedules and many more. Many businesses are actually managing these data using the traditional method such as the Microsoft Excel. Unfortunately, managing an Excel worksheet with large data may not only be a big job but it is time consuming and errors just come with the package.
Through the years, we receive so many requests from our clients to use our Manforce Tracking System (MTS). Finally, we have developed this very user-friendly web-based Manforce Tracking System for clients that also can be customized based on each specific requirement. The MTS also comes with the key features which allows our clients to view, manage all workers data and monitor their movement. While making the system more user friendly, our team provides Training Program to educate our client to use the interface! Our support team will work closely with our client whenever is needed to make sure they can fully adapt and utilize the system to its maximum.
At Manforce Group, a leading foreign worker management company with over a decade of experience, we are experts in handling and managing foreign workers and we had explored and innovated in technologies to speed up our productivity to provide efficient service to manage thousands of foreign workers. Manforce Group Post-arrival Orientation Program include structured orientation programs facilitated by Manforce Education & Training Department upon workers arrival in Malaysia. The aim of the program is to help promote good social relations, improve adherence to standards of workplace safety and health and develop understanding of Malaysian laws and regulations. Our workers must attend the program so they could learn about their rights, job responsibilities, where and how to seek assistance and other useful information.
Manforce Group discover the importance of Post-arrival Orientation Program for our workers because it lays a foundation for our new worker an entire career working in Malaysia with our clients. Without orientation, a new worker sometimes feels uncomfortable in their new environment and takes longer to reach their full potential at work. Hence, Manforce Group came out with this program which in turn had greatly help in promoting communication between our group and the new worker, which we believe can improve worker retention and productivity.
All things considered, this program can provide a complete preparation for our foreign workers before their placement in our client company and to guarantee the competency and the suitability of the labors supply to meet the requirements on site.

In support of the government initiative to increase local employment rate, Manforce Group took the initiative to work closely with MISTA Academy to recruit and allocate these local school leavers to our employers.
The government had reported the high unemployment rate among youth is partly due to the lack of job experience and insufficient skills or education to compete in the labour market. What’s more opportunity do you think these local school leavers with lack of credential would have? They are left with no career direction and are not be able to support themselves. Some may turn to substance abuse, crime or steal in order to survive, which will impact the country’s security.
Manforce group foresee the potential growth of these local school leavers and wants to create the opportunity for these local school leavers, and a chance to gain knowledge, skills and experience. We decided to invest on these students to help society by supporting a group of people who have no direction in the workforce to contribute back to the society.
Manforce Group awarded these students with 100% scholarship and allowance and will receive a professional certificate upon graduation. These students will be trained to work under F&B, Retail, Bakery, Logistic Management, and Hotel Management industry, except Factory. Our mission on this project is not just to reduce local unemployment rate, but to fulfill our client manpower requirements while raising the value of youth so they could meet the demands of the clients and communities for the development of human capital while in line with the needs and desires of our clients.
We believe these students will soon be able to contribute a lot to the country.

Since the novel coronavirus emerged, the Malaysia Government and health authorities have been working together to ensure a coordinated approach to slow the spread of the virus and to reduce its impacts on our population and health system.
In order to assist in scaling up country preparedness and response to COVID-19, Manforce Group initiated a coronavirus awareness program which we believe will play an integral role in helping to stop the spread of this coronavirus. This program comes with a goal of educating our workers on the basic protective measures against coronavirus to protect them from exposure, such as the symptoms of the virus, how they can pre-emptively protect themselves and their workmates, and what measures should be taken if they or a workmate have been exposed.
The health and safety of our customers, workers, and partners have always been our highest priority.
As the coronavirus disease continues to evolve, Manforce Group will take proactive approach to help ensure the safety of our workers and staff. We will closely monitor the situation and provide updates on our operations and any additional information which will be communicated via our website and social media.
At Manforce Group, We Care, We Love, We Do.

On January 10, we were able to host a spectacularly re-imagined Manforce Group Berhad 15th Anniversary Annual Dinner. This fun-filled soiree included a surprise magic performance, prosperity yee sang, and our very own Prince Andrew and Princess Pinky taking us on a magical carpet ride to a whole new world with their spellbinding voices. (who knew?)!
Everyone dressed up with their fun cartoon character costume, ready to be picked as the Best Costume Stars of 2020. Have you ever imagined seeing all your favourite characters popping out in real life? Indeed, we had seen them all tonight; the theme for our 15th Anniversary Annual Dinner 2020 is “Cartoon”, where everyone must dress up as any cartoon character, be it a superhero or Disney Princess.
This was a golden opportunity for Manforce staff to dine together on sumptuous cuisine in the grand ballroom following a heart-warming opening speech by Dato Paul Wong, Managing Director of Manforce Group. Not to mention, guests were also entertained with Manforce Got Talent Show, ‘FUN-tastic’ games and a very good chance of winning one of the 30 lucky draw prizes.
It was indeed an unforgettable night for all of us – and for this, we’d like to thank the volunteered committee members as well as those who are involved to make this lovely night possible for all of us at Manforce. In other words, the traditional Dinner received a rejuvenating makeover that both enhanced and maintained the beautiful energy of this yearly event. A perfect way to demonstration how we have grown bigger, better and stronger over the years. We are definitely looking forward to see all our vision and mission being fulfilled in this bigger year of 2020.
